GetResponse can be overwhelming for beginners, but ActiveCampaign Can Be More.

GetResponse and ActiveCampaign have almost the same tools and this makes it difficult to see the difference in them. they’re both Newsletters distribution creating landing pages and opt-in form, creating split testing, and more, this is just a few similarities in GetResponse and ActiveCampaign.

But, their features are not identical, and this is a huge step when it comes to running email campaigns. knowing which do or can not do something will help you in the long run. this can help in making your email marketing strategy more effective. Below are some differences between GetResponse and ActiveCampaign:

The general features of GetResponse and ActiveCampaign are very comparable. as both services give you a lot of tools, I won’t say it was easy setting up a campaign for the first time in both ActiveCampaign and GetResponse But once I did I loved it.

Email Templates

I will talk about Email Templates because it is the first thing you will set up. According to GetResponse, their database contains 500 varieties of templates and you can even sort them based on the category or niche you want, during your setup process, You will be greeted with a lot of templates that can get you confused, but not to worry. all the templates are customizable, you can even choose a blank template to work with, and we the drag and drop email builder, it’s very easy to do.
The platform is always updating and adding more. they’re integrated with Shutterstock and recently added over 2million stock photos.

According to ActiveCampaign, they offer over 125+ design templates, and after being on the platform I noticed a good preference for future and modest designs, which is not a bad thing.

They Both have enough templates that will work for every niche or all your email marketing needs. You will find templates for newsletters, holidays templates, Educate templates Promote templates as well as templates for specific niches or industries such as health, fitness, retail, travel, and more.

However, GetResponse has organized all its templates by sections. which is slightly better on their side.

Marketing Automation

Being able to automate your email marketing can help take your business to another level, And that is one of the things both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign are good for.

This is how it works, You can set up a customer journey what you want them to do as soon as they come in contact with your business.
As soon as they sign up for your newsletter they get an automated welcome email, You send them another email three days later or the next day or next week depending on your preference.

All this can be on autopilot and when it is set up the right way you won’t have to touch it again, and it will be working for you without you doing the work over and over again.

Of course, you can track the open rate and conversion rate just to tweak things and make it better.

With GetResponse You can get an autoresponder for the basic plan, but if you want marketing automation you have to get the Plus plan which is $40.18 per month.

Both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign Make Email Automation Easy. Both were designed with ease of use in mind.

Whether you’re a one-time user or an email marketing pro or You don’t even have any experience with email marketing, Well You don’t have anything to worry about.

My first time using both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign I didn’t get it easy because I was new and didn’t have experience building landing pages or newsletters.

However, When I spent time with it I was able to do it in just a few minutes, and So if you’re new like I was, and don’t even know what to do. don’t worry- You can watch tutorials on the platform which will guide you through every step.

GetResponse and ActiveCampaign both have a drag-and-drop email builder, letting you design unique emails with ease.

All you have to do is to pick a template and start designing, adding elements, text, or photos – And Both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign have photos you can use or you upload your photos or design.

Landing Page Builders

The same goes for landing page builders, GetResponse landing page builder is on the free plan too which is just for the 30 days trial, But if you want to use it with ease you should get the Basic Plan.

Segmentation for both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign was pretty straightforward,

Even though I thought it was going to be difficult, it was easy. no matter what you choose both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign offer a precise segmentation.

Sign-Up Forms

I can say the clear winner when it comes to sign-up forms is ActiveCampaign, but some of you might think different but, with my experience with GetResponse,

I was able to design the opt-in form I wanted but wasn’t able to center it in the middle,

So when I tried it out it was rather at the bottom right or upper right but I wasn’t able to center it.

But ActiveCampaign I was able to center it or position to my preference.

So I will give this win to ActiveCampaign.

Your Percentages Won’t Mean Anything

No one will be happy to spend a lot of time on their email campaigns to have them end up being in the spam or junk folder, the main objective is to have them in their subscribers’ inbox.

Email marketing tools are designed for marketers to market their product or services to their consumers through emails – this means it has all the tools to help you with that. If you have all the tools is now your turn to use them the right way.

And Both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign have DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail), activating it will help your chance of getting to your subscribers’ inbox.

So before you join any platform you might want to check their anti-spam policy – the stricter the rules, the better for you. Your account can get terminated for Sending spam messages, but some platforms use safeguards that make it hard for spam in the first place.
The most reliable way to get emails delivered and significantly increase your deliverability rate is by – Using a dedicated IP address. which Both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign offer but that is only for the most expensive plans.

Pricing – GetResponse vs ActiveCampaign

GetResponse is a bit pricy at their Basic but at the same level with ActiveCampaign at the Middle and the Top Plans.

Both GetResponse and ActiveCampaign have reasonable prices as their basic plans, but these prices quickly change as your subscribers grow.
